Saxophonist Josephine Davies, who has played with the Pete Hurt Orchestra and the London Jazz Orchestra, has a new album out called Satori (Whirlwind) to be released in February.

Satori is a grounded spiritual trio project from the saxophonist – think Alex Merritt in terms of a simpático saxophone sound – with bassist Dave Whitford, known for his work with Christine Tobin, and drummer Paul Clarvis, of meta-trad polymaths Pigfoot.
