Moira Stuart’s new jazz guitar greats series begins tonight, focusing on Charlie Byrd who is practically synonymous in terms of US jazz guitar in the 1960s with bossa nova, an association that stems from 1962's Jazz Samba that Byrd recorded with Stan Getz.
