…insofar as anyone can tell
Appearing in a double bill with pianist James Rhodes at the Cheltenham music festival Sundog, whose album Insofar, a piano/dulcitone/Rhodes/harmonium-violin duo no less with Arthur Jeffes of Penguin Café Orchestra renown and violinist Oli Langford, released last autumn was a rare cornucopia of minimalist delights with little moments scattered about that imprinted themselves in your head gently and quite beautifully at times. One of the tunes, ‘Both Hands in Pockets’ according to Jeffes’ “uses a rock which we found can be made to sing.” Take this particular dog for a walk at the Town Hall on 4 July.
