Issued as a single and on Composite Truth (Polydor, 1973), the adventurously funky sound of Mandrill: Carlos Wilson – trombone, alto saxophone, flute, guitar, vocals; Louis Wilson – trumpet, flugelhorn, percussion, vocals; Richard Wilson – tenor saxophone, percussion, vocals; Claude “Coffee” Cave – keyboards, vibraphone, percussion, vocals; Frederick "Fudgie Kae" Solomon – bass, percussion, vocals; Omar Mesa – guitar, percussion, vocals; and Neftali Santiago – drums, percussion, vocals. 

Mandrill were influential on jazz musicians such as jazz clarinet great Don Byron in the late 1990s who covered ‘Fence Walk’ a song that also appeared on Composite Truth.
