Indian jazz percussionist Trilok Gurtu and Scottish classical percussionist Evelyn Glennie are to perform their new festival commission, ‘The Rhythm in Me’, at the Celtic Connections festival in Scotland, a piece that celebrates the 70th anniversary of India’s independence in 2017.

Celtic Connections begins on 19 January and runs until 5 February. The concert takes place at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow on 1 February.
