Nice guy Will Harris. Name ring a bell? Well not literally as he plays the bass. However, fans of the Bristol scene will know that he is their Jasper Høiby and Jasper belongs to us all, hearts and minds, for which we ought to give thanks. Will is in minimalist maximalists Michelson Morley for instance and the elegantly literate Moonlight Saving Time.

Will has a big woody sound and plenty of ideas as a lateral thinker in real time and has to be quick witted alongside Jake Murchie in the M&Ms while he has a sensitive side that Emily Wright draws out, Moonlighting. Anyway, without further ado, check his 2016 St Mark's Sessions, demo EP and the track ‘Tongue Twisted’ from which above, Harris, thumping out a bluesy a cappella solo first up that sneaks in an intriguingly anonymous piano vamp in the manner of Cedar Walton, skirly Jackie McLean-like sax and flying Al Foster-like drums that eventually reveal beefy Jim Mullen-esque guitar, digs deep into the heart of any Saturday night where jazz might happen to be on.
