Another vibrant new band on the UK scene to check out are Scottish quartet Square One, who won the Peter Whittingham Jazz Award in 2015, and their album In Motion, extract above, out on 4 October. The band are Joe Williamson on guitar, Peter Johnstone, piano, Stephen Henderson, drums, and David Bowden on bass. The band are touring soon and play the Spotted Dog in Birmingham on release night.
