Interesting new release just out, listen to ‘Side A’ above, from Mark de Clive-Lowe who has dug deep into the Blue Note catalogue and created a live-remix mixtape recorded and improvised live in one take with the aid of a drum machine, sample pads, Rhodes and keyboards with dollops of jazz and hip hop filtering through. Guest cameos from rappers Bambu, John Robinson and Illa J, Inglewood CA- singer Nia Andrews, bass don Pino Palladino and cult saxophonist Nomad Pendergrass flesh the sound out.
