Paul Dunmall is one of the most iconic free jazz saxophonists on the British scene, known for both his barrier-smashing style and ability to push hard into the furthest reaches of improvised music.

And he teams up this autumn with highly respected Chicago drummer Hamid Drake in a quintet that also includes Steve Tromans on piano, Dave Kane on double bass, and Percy Pursglove on trumpet.

Dates are the Vortex Jazz Club, London on Monday 3 October; the Hexagon Theatre, mac, Birmingham on 4 October; and the Lantern, Colston Hall, Bristol on Wednesday 5 October in a double bill with Keith Tippett playing solo.
