Here’s the first glimpse of one of the new songs from September’s new Van Morrison album Keep Me Singing. Note Van’s new drummer Mez Clough here and the presence of veteran jazz and blues trad trombone legend Chris Barber standing over on the left. The upbeat ‘Too Late’ is to be the lead-off single from the album.

Mostly new songs the release, on yet another label, this time Caroline Records after a stint on RCA, the singer’s 36th studio album follows last year’s starry Duets album and has a dozen new songs plus a version of ‘Share Your Love With Me,’ first released by a hero and former singing partner of Morrison’s, Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland, a couple of months before Them’s ‘Baby Please Don’t Go/‘Gloria’ was released back in 1964. Morrison has worked with the legendary lyricist Don Black (whose lyrics include ‘Born Free’, and ‘Ben’) on ‘Every Time I See A River,’ according to album information gleaned from vanmorrison.com
