Odd title maybe but nothing odd at all about this laidback, cleverly put together affair.

The woozy trombone sliding and smearing from Curtis Fowlkes is poised neatly against the deftly explorative bluesy guitar of Charlie Hunter with Bobby Previte’s lazily inuring beat and cornetist Kirk Knuffke adding antique tunefulness at times to complete a satisfying splodge of small group contemporary sounds that bend and distort both jazz and the blues.
