Blue Note records are to release a new album from Gregory Porter giving 6 May as a release date for Take Me To The Alley, a little under three years on from his first album for the label, Liquid Spirit, one of the biggest selling jazz-vocals albums worldwide in years. 

The album was produced by Kamau Kenyatta and features Chip Crawford, bassist Aaron James, drummer Emanuel Harrold, alto saxophonist Yosuke Sato and tenor saxophonist Tivon Pennicott, singer Alicia Olatuja, trumpeter Keyon Harrold and Czech organist Ondrej Pivec among the personnel.

Tour dates soon include a whopping April tour. 

Two singles Holding On and Don’t Lose Your Steam, the latter dedicated to Porter’s young son, are released to coincide with pre-orders.
