Saxophonist Dave Liebman will be making a return visit to Dublin and Whelan’s in early-2016.

The NEA Jazz Master is to perform with distinguished avant percussionist Gerry Hemingway and the pioneering MBASE-influenced bass guitarist and educator Ronan Guilfoyle.

Liebman, known above all for his work in the 1970s with Miles Davis (eg On the Corner, Dark Magus, Get Up With It), appeared among recent records on Vein’s well-received album Jazz Talks

During his Dublin stay Liebman will also give a talk and conduct a masterclass both of which are to be held in the Engineering Library of the National Concert Hall.
