‘As I Was Saying...’ by Django Bates, ‘SAMA Project’ by Mike Williams and ‘The Fox, The Parakeet & The Chestnut’ by Trish Clowes have been announced as nominees in the contemporary jazz composition category of the British Composer Awards just announced by BASCA.

The overall shortlist features 33 composers across 12 categories, including besides Contemporary Jazz Composition, Choral, Sonic Art, Liturgical and Community or Educational Project, with many of those shortlisted first-time nominees.
