Two Rivers Records have announced some new signings and future release plans.

In the offing for early-2016 are a solo piano album by Clemens Christian Poetzsch called People and Places; Snowpoet’s self-titled album featuring the duo of Chris Hyson and Lauren Kinsella; and also to be released is a tenor-sax led quartet album from Robert Menzel called Alchemy.

The label, run by Alya Marquardt, and which aims to “release music that is unusual, exceptional and thought-provoking and to support artists through the provision of recording and promotion opportunities,” according to its website mission statement, has also announced new signings. The first of these, pianist Rick Simpson, is to debut his Klammer sextet album next spring. Trumpeter-electronicist Alex Bonney, known for his work in drummer Steve Davis’ band Human, will also be releasing a live album recorded in Italy called Excavations and Demolitions. Signed too is saxophonist Michael Chillingworth with a septet album project.
