The new Diana Krall? Not such an outrageous suggestion to anyone who has seen or heard singer Sarah McKenzie.

The singer’s quirky Franco-Brazilian styled ‘Quoi, Quoi, Quoi’ heard above in the new video and featured on her new Brian Bacchus-produced Impulse album We Could Be Lovers is to be released in the UK and more widely in Europe in mid-September. Self-effacingly referring to the number as her ‘silly’ song, as the Australian jazz singer dubbed it introducing the song to London audiences earlier in the summer, there’s no doubt about the serious intent behind the 27-year-old former Berklee student’s approach – a new jazz-vocals star of the future clearly well on her way.
