Just days after the untimely death of John Taylor and following a great outpouring of heartfelt tributes from musicians and fans alike The Impossible Gentlemen, appearing at the Sligo Jazz Project in Ireland where Taylor was a previous tutor and course leader, devoted part of their set seen in the video above at the Hawk’s Well theatre earlier this week to remember Taylor.

Gwilym Simcock, the pianist in the Impossible Gentlemen, will also take part in a piano summit concert at the South Bank Centre in September dedicated to Taylor’s memory, one of a number of leading pianists taking part who also include Richard Fairhurst whose Duets album with Taylor is to be released soon.
