Tetra, to be released in October, finds Loose Tubes saxophonist Julian Argüelles joined by pianist Kit Downes, drummer James Maddren and double bassist Sam Lasserson completing the group.

The new album follows swiftly on from the South African-themed big band album Let It Be Told released back in the spring, the saxophonist moving to a new label, Whirlwind.

The quartet  – above l-r: Kit Downes, Julian Argüelles, James Maddren and Sam Lasserson – appear at the Brecon Jazz Festival next month.
