The death in France earlier this week of jazz organist Eddy Louiss has been reported.

The ex-Stan Getz quartet Paris-born player was 74.

Louiss began in jazz on the 1950s Parisian scene performing with his father’s orchestra later joining pioneering vocal group the Double Six and becoming widely known for his work with singer Claude Nougaro between 1964 and 1967.
