Recorded at the French festival last summer late-June sees the release of Live in Marciac 2014.

It’s approaching two years since the great pianist’s last album, Saturday Morning: La Buissonne Studio Sessions, a studio affair on that occasion, again recorded in France. Like that album, and the earlier Blue Moon (marginally the better of the two), the Marciac live album reunites the hugely influential pianist with the same band a “trio +”, bassist Reginald Veal, drummer Herlin Riley and percussionist Manolo Badrena, joining the Pittsburgian, who had just turned 84 at the time of recording. Tracks are: ‘Sunday Afternoon’, ‘The Shout’, ‘Dynamo’, ‘The Gypsy’, ‘Strollin'’, ‘Silver’, ‘All of You’, ‘Blue Moon’ and ‘Autumn Rain’. An accompanying DVD has an extra track, ‘Morning Mist.’
