Her tenth record as a leader New York-based Canadian pianist Kris Davis with her ensemble Infrasound has a new record Save Your Breath out next month to be issued on the avant garde Portuguese Clean Feed label.

On it the pianist is joined by four bass clarinettists: Oscar Noriega, heard recently on the excellent new Tim Berne album You’ve Been Watching Me, Ben Goldberg, Belgian player Joachim Badenhorst and Andrew Bishop plus Gary Versace (organ), Nate Radley (guitar), and Jim Black (drums).

Still in her early thirties Davis’ records include solo album Massive Threads and the quintet album Capricorn Climber, and her playing credits include appearances with Tim Berne, Bill Frisell, John Hollenbeck and on the soon-to-be-released Sugar Blade trio album of drummer Steve Davis.
