According to the Keith Jarrett fan site citing a brief mention in The New York Times and more detail in the German publication Jazz Echo two albums are to be released in May to time with Keith Jarrett’s 70th birthday.

The first of these, Creation, features music drawn from solo improv concerts the pianist performed during 2014 in Tokyo, Toronto, Paris and Rome.

The second is a classically-themed release dating from the 1980s titled Samuel Barber / Béla Bartók featuring piano concertos by Barber and Bartók, Jarrett accompanied alternately by the Saarbrücken Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dennis Russell Davies, and by the New Japan Philharmonic (Kazuyoshi Akiyama conducting).
