In Dudley Moore’s case comedy’s gain was to the infinite loss of jazz and fans still cling to the albums his trio made. Moore, who died in 2002, was born 80 years ago this year and Ronnie Scott’s is to mark the anniversary with a two-night celebration at the club in April led by pianist Neil Cowley.

Billed as “the other side of Dudley Moore” name-checking a cherished 1965 Decca trio album of Dud’s, Cowley, the club says, is putting together a special trio for these dates. More info and ticketing details: here
