Jamie Cullum is to headline the 2015 City of Derry Jazz and Big Band Festival, it’s just been announced.

The singer/pianist, above, whose latest album Interlude was released this year, will play the Millennium Forum on 4 May. Derry mayor Brenda Stevenson is chuffed to say the least: “Jamie has a huge following and has made jazz more accessible to a whole new generation of listeners. And he’s no stranger to Derry of course – last year St Mary’s school choir were thrilled to have the opportunity to perform with him – so it will be lovely to bring him back to the city.” Tickets go on sale on Thursday.
