Vincent Peirani

A new album is on the way in early-2015 from French accordion star Vincent Peirani and his quintet of saxophonist Emile Parisien, keyboardist Tony Paeleman (mainly on Fender Rhodes), electric bassist Julien Herné, and drummer Yoann Serra.

Living Being to be released by ACT, featuring original material by Peirani, also has versions of Jeff Buckley’s ‘Dream Brother’ (from 1990s album Grace) and Michel Portal’s ‘Mutinerie,’ a track that appeared on Portal’s 1998 Label Bleu album Dockings, as additional elements.

Peirani's album Thrill Box released in 2013 also had a Portal link even featuring a guest slot from the renowned French bass clarinettist.

This new album recorded in France in June has a second ‘Air Song’ to follow the first of what is now turning into a series from Thrill Box.

Peirani's most recent album was the duo affair Belle Époque released in April this year.
