Leo Appleyard

Praised by jazz guitar stars Phil Robson and John Etheridge – Robson, describing his former guitar student as “definitely a real natural” – Leo Appleyard debuts with Pembroke Road next month, launching the album at the London Jazz Festival during release week.

The 25-year-old former Birmingham Conservatoire and Royal Academy of Music student whose influences include Kurt Rosenwinkel and Jonathan Kreisberg is joined on the F-IRE Presents release by the three members of Partikel plus trumpeter Neil Yates. Tunes are the Londoner’s own plus closer Victor Schertzinger-written 1940s standard ‘I Remember You.’
