Tina May launches her latest album My Kinda Love in London tonight at the Pheasantry on the King’s Road.

The HepJazz album, which sits alongside earlier label release Divas, finds classic jazz singer May joined by featured soloists John Pearce, Ian Laws, Nicol Thomson, Freddie Gavita, Sammy Mayne, with guests Duncan Lamont and Janusz Carmello. The Bowfiddle String Quartet also appear on some selections.

The album opens with ‘My Kinda Love’ then ‘Lazy Afternoon’, ‘S'posin’, ‘Where Were You in April’, ‘I Wish I Knew’, ‘A Sunday Kind of Love’, ‘If You Go’, ‘An Occasional Man’, ‘Haunted Heart’, ‘You Came a Long Way From St Louis’, ‘Manhattan in the Rain’, and ‘I'm Through With Love’ are the songs that follow.
