Nominations for the best jazz act at this year’s MOBO awards were announced earlier this morning, and voting has opened for the awards to be held on 22 October at the SSE Arena, Wembley in London.

The 2014 nominations are: Andreas Varady, Jason Rebello, Peter Edwards, Phronesis, and Zara McFarlane.

Last year’s best jazz act winner was Sons of Kemet.
