Branford Marsalis

There’s a new live album from Branford Marsalis on the way this autumn. In My Solitude – Live in Concert at Grace Cathedral, to be issued by OKeh, finds the saxophonist in a very special place in jazz history, at San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral, where Duke Ellington in 1965 performed his Concert of Sacred Music.

Included on the album are solo saxophone pieces by Steve Lacy and Ryo Noda, and a version of Hoagy Carmichaels ‘Stardust’. The UK/Ireland release date is 20 October.
