With a UK/Ireland release of 25 August the Italian pianist is joined on Joy In Spite of Everything by the Billy Hart quartet's Mark Turner on tenor saxophone, guitarist Bill Frisell, double bassist Jesper Bodilsen, and drummer Morten Lund (the latter pairing from the Stone in the Water trio) on an album of new Bollani compositions, recorded for ECM at Avatar in New York.
