Free-jazz icon trumpeter Wadada Leo Smith, pianist Jamie Saft also on Fender Rhodes, along with One rhythm dream team Joe Morris (double bass here) and drummer Balazs Pandi, debut with Red Hill on RareNoise Records to be released in late-September. Six tracks in all, very free, with a plangently potent tonality and involving direction, all collectively improvised, it's a big avant highlight in prospect for the autumn.
