Femi Temowo is to record with Grammy-winning singer Gregory Porter, and MOBO-winner Laura Mvula in Paris next week, Marlbank can reveal. It's the first time Temowo has recorded with both stars and a big boost for the Ronnie Scott's Late Late Show guitarist/vocalist who last night performed at the club in front of a very big late night audience with his quartet of double bassist Tim Thornton, soul-jazz keyboardist Grant Windsor playing on Fender Rhodes, and drummer Chris Draper. Among the highlights of the early part of the set the quartet played an extended version of 'Skylark', the Hoagy Carmichael song Porter himself performed on his album Water.
