ere’s the extraordinary 16-year-old guitarist Andreas Varady and his take on Django Reinhardt’s ‘Swing 42’ included as the closing track on Varady's Verve debut Andreas Varady set to be released in August in the US. The track is also included on a digital EP just out called Come Together.

Of Hungarian gypsy descent, Andreas was raised in Slovakia and with his family moved to Ireland settling in Limerick in 2007. Mentored early on by Irish jazz drummer David Lyttle who toured extensively with the guitarist and who released Varady’s debut on his record label Lyte, Varady is now managed by Quincy Jones as part of the stellar Thriller producer’s roster of new jazz stars who also include Canadian singer Nikki Yanofsky.

David Paich known for his work with the band Toto produced Andreas Varady, while Herbie Hancock keyboardist Greg Phillinganes, bassist Brian Bromberg, percussionist Paulinho da Costa, as well as drummers Harvey Mason and Dave Weckl, are among those appearing. Guests include recent Grammy-winning singer Gregory Porter who features on ‘Let The Good Times Roll.’
