French band Pulcinella are over on tour next month with four back-to-back dates presented under the auspices of Match & Fuse from 15-18 July, supporting Troyka in Newcastle, Cardiff, and Coventry, and then doing the honours for Brass Mask in London. Their new Yellowbird/Enja album Bestiole, the accordion-flavoured chamber jazz outfit’s third, comes stocked with ideas grounded in Balkan, rock, and tango influences, mainly co-operatively-written material recorded in October 2013.
