June's big jazz release coming just before the peak of the summer jazz festival season in Europe is the new duo album on the way from Keith Jarrett and Charlie Haden, Last Dance, and here's the cover of the album, a sister release to the intimate Jasmine from 2010. Last Dance follows the reissue earlier in 2014 of chamber jazz album Arbour Zena, Jarrett recorded in the autumn of 1975 with the Belonging Band’s Jan Garbarek on tenor and soprano saxophone; and Last Dance duo partner Charlie Haden from the American quartet (1971-6); plus a string orchestra comprised of members of the Radio Symphony Orchestra, Stuttgart.
