Italian-based Brazilian composer and producer Toco, who has written most of Memoria (some co-written with singer Nina Miranda and guitarist Stefano Tirone aka S-Tone Inc), provides plenty of summery sounds here, the album to be released next month by nu-jazz label Schema. Recorded in Milan during the latter part of 2013 Memoria presents a variety of featured singers, the vocal group Selton whose 2013 album Saudade featured Arto Lindsay standing out particularly well on ‘Breque bom’.

It's a laidback collection of cheerful samba, bossa and acoustic folk flavours styled via acoustic guitar, Eduardo Taufic’s Rhodes electric piano, bass and drums with a bit of percussion and some strings and horns added here and there all subtly textured and arranged in a laidback loungey easy style by S-Tone inc.
