Debuting this spring: Tori Freestone

Making their debut with In the Chophouse next month the Tori Freestone trio embark on a tour ahead of release with an appearance at Islington's Union Chapel bar in London.

A member of pianist Ivo Neame’s octet, saxophonist/flautist Freestone made her mark on Neame’s significant 2012 album Yatra. She is is touring with her trio of ex-Fraud drummer Tim Giles, and Riff Raff bassist Dave Manington, who appear with her on the upcoming album.

Further dates are Dempsey’s Cardiff (5 March), Bonington theatre, Nottingham (6 March), Bridge Hotel, Newcastle upon Tyne (9 March), Wharf Chambers, Leeds (10 March), The Venue, Leeds College of Music (11 March), Be-Bop club, Bristol (14 March), and the Plume of Feathers, Sherborne (15 March).

The new album, to be released by Whirlwind Recordings, takes its name from Manchester pub Mr Thomas’s Chop House.
