Michelson Morley, one of the most hotly anticipated new bands in prospect for 2014 if snippets of their moodily minimalist debut album are anything to go by, the first fruits on record of Get The Blessing saxophonist Jake McMurchie, Moonlight Saving Time bassist Will Harris, and drummer Mark Whitlam, known for his work with Jim Mullen, plus guesting View from the Tower scene guitarist Dan Messore. Their debut album is expected on the F-IRE label in May.

Dates are coming together including Pepper’s AberJazz Club in Fishguard on 14 December, sounds like a trip to Wales might make a good pre-Christmas jaunt; and then nearer the album time Déda Derby (2 May), Parrjazz, Liverpool (6 May), Lescar Sheffield (7 May) and more gigging in June.
