The record company that released albums in the early careers of Jamie Cullum, Stacey Kent, and Clare Teal, has signed two new Italian artists to the label in singer Elisabetta Antonini and pianist Marco Marconi. The label says Antonini’s first CD for the label will be a 1950s Beat Generation-themed affair. Marconi's website notes the pianist is “delighted to have met Alan Bates and signed up with legendary jazz label, Candid Records”, and indicates that the pianist's album Mosaico will be re-released on the label in the spring followed by a new release from his trio in the autumn due to be recorded at the Fazioli Concert Hall near Venice.
