Back from recent extensive touring in the States, fifth Beatle Giggles the clown “couldn’t help" but make an appearance in Kalamazoo, the band's Dave Morecroft, keyboardist and maître d’ (should the band ever run a bistro) elaborated on in the tour blog, the hard gigging WorldService Project play dates in London, Bristol, and Nottingham this week. Still at the heart of the new wave of prog-jazz sweeping the country it’s a double bill with French post-jazz quartet Ozma. Dates are Vortex, London (Wednesday 2 October), The Attic, Bristol (Thurs 3 Oct), and Café Bar Contemporary, Nottingham (Fri 5 Oct). November sees WSP play London, Guildford, Brighton, and Nottingham once more, touring with the torso-baring prog-splattered Polish drum ’n’ bass and electronica outfit Owls Are Not What They Seem and Italian stunt fusioneers, Tubax.
