Vinyl-only label Gearbox Records has acquired the Blue Note collection of legendary Tempo Records producer and music executive Tony Hall. Gearbox will also form a new joint venture with Ronnie Scott’s jazz club to create a new label to be offered to Ronnie's members and Gearbox subscribers.

The Kings Cross, London-based label has also bought the tapes from Danish label Debut Records, and will begin releasing selected Debut titles next year. Gearbox is also to release later in November the first LP of partner label Edition Records' new signing, Slowly Rolling Camera, plus a previously unreleased 1973 Tubby Hayes album, Live at the Hopbine.
