Trumpeter Andre Canniere is to release a new quintet album Coalescence next month, the follow-up to his acclaimed 2012 album Forward Space. To be issued by Whirlwind Recordings on 21 October the UK-based American musician is joined by Phronesis pianist Ivo Neame also featured on accordion, Austrian guitarist Hannes Riepler (The Brave), rising star bassist Ryan Trebilcock, and Kairos 4tet's Jon Scott on drums. Tracks are: 'Sweden Hill', 'Gibbs and East', 'Nylon', 'Gaslands', 'Zuid Intro', 'Zuid', 'Parallax', 'Point Zero', and 'Elk Run'. Canniere plays pre-release shows at the first Whirlwind festival at Kings Place on 12 October, and at the Forest Row Jazz Club in East Sussex on 20 October.
