12 Points returns to Dublin in the spring with four days of gigs at Project Arts Centre. 

With bands chosen from some 500 applicants Umbra represent Ireland this year the festival opening up with Strasbourg’s Auditive Connection.

Other bands taking part are Moskus from Norway; Belgian band Stuff; Hungarian free jazzers A.M.P. trio; Berlin-based pianist Elias Stemeseder; Finnish trio Virta; UK trumpeter Laura Jurd with her quartet; Svin from Denmark; Bruut from the Netherlands; Black Dough from Sweden, and the Swiss band Hildegard Lernt Fliegen, led by vocalist Andreas Schaerer, closing the festival.

A daytime Jazz Futures seminar and after-hours jam sessions are also part of the mix. Dates are Wed 15-Sat 18 April. More details can be found at www.12points.ie
