Singer Noemi Nuti is to make her debut with Nice to Meet You.

Influenced by Brazilian music among other inspirations the Ubuntu Music crowdfunded album includes songs by Paulinho da Viola and Dorival Caymmi and her own Joni Mitchell and Paul Simon-inspired songs written with pianist Andrew McCormack who guests on some tracks. Nuti, who was born in New York and lives in London, is touring with her sextet made up of trumpeter Quentin Collins who has co-produced the album, pianist Chris Eldred, guitarist Filipe Monteiro, bassist Tim Thornton and drummer Ernesto Simpson. Dates are: Broxbourne Rowing Club, Broxbourne (5 February); Vortex Jazz Club, London (6 Feb); Pizza Express Jazz Club, London (25 March); Jazz at Marigolds, Harlow (27 March); Fisher Theatre, Bungay (28 March); and Jazz Co-Op, Newcastle (30 May).
