Manu

Manu Katché is moving labels, signing to Munich’s ACT Records. Label chief Siggi Loch commented in a press statement that the drummer’s first album will be recorded at the New Morning club in Paris on Monday to be released in late-September.
The star drummer, who recorded five highly lauded albums for ECM, the pick of which was probably Neighbourhood and whose notable credits in rock, pop, and jazz include session and live work with Sting and Peter Gabriel as well as sideman work with Jan Garbarek, for his part said: “The idea of recording a live album with ACT seemed to be entirely consistent with the dimension that takes my repertoire in concert especially after numerous performances that I could give with my quartet through Europe.”
