Mrs P

Gwyneth Herbert has written the music and lyrics of The A-Z of Mrs P, a musical fable inspired by the autobiographies of Phyllis Pearsall, the creator of the A-Z, the pre-Internet bible for navigating the labyrinthine streets of old, and not so old, London town.

The musical runs at London’s Southwark Playhouse from 21 February-29 March. The piece stars Isy Suttie as the heroine, Frances Ruffelle as her mother, and Michael Matus plays Phyllis’ father. With a book by Diane Samuels The A-Z of Mrs P is directed by Sam Buntrock.
