Tremendous lead-off track here from Étoilée from bassist Joe Martin to be released by the Sunnyside label on 8 March.

A high powered outing from four top players, ECM star Mark Turner joining Martin + the adventurous keyboardist Kevin Hays and Jason Moran drummer Nasheet Waits completing the line-up, this is a studio album packed full of Martin compositions and by the looks of it is sure to nudge the talented bassist-composer’s profile ever higher.
