To be released on French label Jazz Village in the States and Canada on 10 March, just over a month before its European release, Time Pieces is the new album from Kyle Eastwood.

A hard bop quintet affair it features pianist Andrew McCormack once again in the band and includes versions of Herbie Hancock and Horace Silver material plus the bassist’s own tunes.

The new album arrives almost two years on from The View From Here, a classic hard bop quintet record imbued with an air of romance in Eastwood’s writing style. Eastwood grew up in Carmel, California and is the eldest son of actor-film director Clint Eastwood and debuted with his album From Here to There in the late-1990s. Back in England touring again in April a short Eastwood tour begins in Colchester on 24 April.
