DanaMeilana 6 trumpeter Linley Hamilton this weekend is to guest with Olivia Trummer in Belfast, a gig on Saturday that counts as the Stuttgart pianist and vocalist Olivia Trummer’s first appearance in Northern Ireland. Here Trummer, whose albums include 2011’s Poesiealbum and 2010’s Nobody Knows, is joined by bassist Dave Redmond and drummer Kevin Brady, two thirds of Ian Shaw’s highly rated Irish band and familiar for their work with pianist Phil Ware. Trummer plays Triskel Christchurch, Cork the night before, and further Irish dates are National Concert Hall, Dublin (8 October), Dolan’s Limerick (9 October), Greenacres, Wexford Arts Centre (11 October), and Taibhdhearc na Gaillimhe, Galway (12 October).
